Viharnra Sien often spelt Viharn Sien close to the Khao. Chee-Chan Sculptural imageis this magnificent Temple/Museum taking four years to construct at a cost of 220 million baht and Inaugurated by His Majesty the King at a grand ceremony on December the 24th 1993 managed by the Anek Kusala Sala (Viharnra Sien) foundation. This outstanding 3 story structure is within the catchment area of the Royal Temple of Wat Yanasangwararam and built by the Thai-Chinese communityin honour of His Majesty the King.
Thailand and China have a very long historical relationship. The stream of cultures of each country abound creating close relationships between these two countries at Government and individual levels. Viharnra Sien meaning ‘Abode of the gods’ is the place that Thai and Chinese arts and cultures come together in perfect harmony. Viharnra Sien sits on 7 Rai of land, granted to Mr Sa-nga Kulkobkiat in 1987 by His Majesty the King.
The Chinese government made a gift to Mr Sa-nga Kulkobkiat of 328 precious and valuable items to display at the museum, Terracotta statues of soldiers and the bronze chariots from the great Emperor Qin Shi’s tomb, priceless pictures painted by famous artists, antique bronze and earthenware of centuries past. More than 1000 pieces of history and magnificence is on display in this building.
Travelling from Jomtien Beach up Chaiyapruek road passing Viewpoint Village on your left the location of Thailand Holiday Homes luxury Villas at Sukhumvit road you will turn right signposted Sattahip or from Pattaya take the Sukhumvit road to Sattahip, after passing through Ban Amphur travelling a total of 10.2 kilometres you will see a sign Wat Yanasangwararam turn left. Travel 4.9 kilometres turning left at the signpost Viharnra Sien after a further 2.69 kilometres you will behold the magnificent building of Viharn Sien set on the right side of a fabulous lake.
There is ample parking, food and drinks are available outside.
Tours in brightly coloured coaches are available but there is so much to see I suggest
travelling by car or Taxi, a great day out, more specific items to view;

We had a lovely stay at Baan Lotus - we wanted a relaxing contemporary place to stay for our hens weekend and this place exceeded our expectations.
The villa is beautiful and the services very professional - we really did not have to leave our villa!
